Are You Getting The Channels You Should?
If you are one of the many people who set up their Freeview with a simple scan for channels and haven’t thought twice about it since, then there is a chance that you aren’t getting all the channels that you could be.
Scanning for channels isn’t as simple as the set top box collating all the available channels out there and then presenting them for your immediate pleasure. Instead, the set top box will only pick up the channels that it can detect at that time and there are many elements that could mean that you missed a few, or even quite a lot.
For instance, poor weather at the time could have made a big difference as could generally diminished signal strength. Then there are more permanent issues such as being in a generally poor signal area, having physical items blocking the signal or having your aerial pointed in the wrong direction. You may also find that your aerial simply isn’t up to scratch anymore and actually need to undertake a new aerial installation.
A quick search on the web may give you an idea of whether or not you are missing channels, although with more and more channels being added all the time, you still might not have them all. If you think you may be missing some channels, the best idea is to get the professionals in. We can give you a full aerial MOT and help make sure that you are getting exactly what you paid for.
